New Membership Tier Program

Clear thresholds, rolling upgrades, smoother progression.

  • Current Policy

    To qualify for tier upgrade or renewal, members must meet one mandatory condition (CI/AE operated weighted trips) and fulfill one of the following criteria: flight miles, CI/AE operated business class trips, or total weighted trips.

  • New Approach Launching Year-End
    The new Status Points replaces multiple standards with a single, transparent measure, making it easier to track your tier progression.

    Earn Status Points by route and class; all paid flights count, with instant upgrades upon qualification:

    • Every eligible flight counts — accrual not limited to distance anymore.
    • Discount fares(L), group fares(G), and Mandarin Airlines domestic flights count toward tier qualification.
    • Rolling upgrades remain in place for flexibility and faster advancement.

    Status Points for Status — Miles for Rewards

    • Status Points are for tier upgrades and renewals, while miles are for redeeming flights, upgrades, or merchandise — the two are separate and cannot be converted.

A Friendlier Way to Qualify Under the New Program

Dynasty Member flying
TPE–NRT, Economy Flexible (M Class)

Earns 24 points per one-way flight — reach Gold status with just 15 flights (360 points)!

Current policy: each one-way flight credits 1 weighted trip, requiring a total of 20 weighted trips to qualify for an upgrade.

Dynasty Member flying
TPE–FRA, Business Standard (C Class)

Earns 125 Status Points per one-way flight — reach Gold Card status with just 3 flights (360 points)!

Current policy: each one-way flight credits 8,739 flight miles, requiring a total of 30,000 miles — or 4 flights — to qualify for an upgrade.

Tier Upgrade & Renewal Requirements

The moment you meet the threshold, your new tier is activated instantly.

At least 50% of Status Points must be from
CI/AE self-operated international flights

Example: To upgrade to Gold Card with 360 points, more than 180 must be earned on CI/AE international-operated flights.

Notes:

＊ Tier Validity – Valid from the upgrade date until the end of the month, two years later.
＊ Tier Upgrade – Within any 12 consecutive months of your current tier, the total amount of Status Points should reach the requirement, with at least 50% from CI/AE self-operated international flights. Your tier will be upgraded immediately upon qualification.
＊ Renewal – The total amount of Status Points should reach the requirement within a 2-year period, with at least 50% earned on CI/AE self-operated international flights.

Rollover Status Points — Easier Progression

For upgrade to Gold or Emerald, any Status Points earned beyond the threshold will roll over for one year and count toward the next tier.
Under the new program, Paragon members also enjoy rollover for renewal — excess points beyond the renewal threshold will be retained and applied to the next renewal calculation.

Notes:

＊Reserved Status Points – If you earn more points than the current Gold and Emerald upgrade requirement, the excess will be retained for 1 year and applied toward your next tier upgrade. For Paragon members, the reserved balance will be retained until the current tier expiry date and counted toward the total required for renewal.

Conversion of Existing Reserved Balance to Status Points

The reserved balance in your membership account will be converted into Status Points under the new program based on three criteria — flight miles, business class segments, and weighted trips — using the most favorable result.

If your best achievement ratio converts to 52 Status Points, these will be credited automatically at program launch.

Notes:

＊Reserved Status Points converted from the original program will be included in the total accumulated for tier upgrades but will not count toward the 50% CI/AE self-operated international flights requirement.
＊Calculation Formula: (Highest achievement ratio item ÷ Its required threshold) × New upgrade threshold = Reserved Status Points

Paragon Milestone Rewards

Recognizing Exceptional Loyalty
To express gratitude to Paragon members for their continued loyalty, additional rewards are offered when earned Status Points go beyond the renewal requirement.

  • Reward Policy

    Once Paragon members reach the 2,240-point renewal threshold, any additional points can be both reserved for the next renewal and milestone rewards.

    *Each reward can be claimed only once during the same membership tier period.
